Hi everyone, My name is Matt Kelly. I am the owner and founder of the Free Wireless HotSpots project. We are a completely volunteer project working on creating a location listiing for Free Wireless Hotspots across the United States. We believe that Wi-Fi should be free and open to everyone. However, we are not suggesting that you open your home wireless as this would compromise privacy and safety. It is our belief though that businesses should not charge for Wi-Fi service; that this is in their best interest to draw customers to their shops. It is upon this belief that Free Wireless Hotspots project was created.
Though the project has existed for over a year, we have been in a very small beta testing. Now, we have entered into Google, Yahoo and other search engines. Having launched our BETA 2 version of the project on Monday, November 22, 2006, we anticipate alot of new plans for the coming year. So keep checking back for more details.
